Fulfillment Networks

Minimize Operating Expenses

Beyond accurate, quick and efficient order fulfillment, organizations are now required to meet consumer delivery times expectations. For some categories, same day delivery is required. For others 1 to 3 days will be enough. The only way to achieve this level of service and maintain profitability is to have multiple Distribution Centers. A fulfillment network is formed when multiple Distribution Centers are united to better serve customers. The infrastructure has always been there but controlling a fulfillment network has many challenges. Shipedge was originally created as a 4PL, able to control multiple warehouses to serve people in different regions from a centralized web based order management and inventory control system. Shipedge has the power to automate order routing and inventory forecasting for all warehouses of the modern logistics network:

Dropship Orders

Send your supplier order information by email, API or FTP.  Emails  include your packing-list and a shipping label if necessary. We also do drop-ship returns by allowing clients to manually create RMAs from any Shipedge powered warehouse regardless of order origination. Included is the ability to upload a CSV file for uploading orders in bulk.

External Warehouse Shipping

Orders sent to other locations managed by Shipedge, HighJump or FBA appear as sent to warehouse, then they get updated as shipped by warehouse with a tracking# which in turn get communicated to the shopper.

Reverse Logistics

Manually create RMA from any Shipedge warehouse regardless of order origination.  Including the ability to embed self-service returns and create return labels on demand or as inserts that get activated only if used.

Inventory Anywhere / Everywhere

Connect to other warehouses whether they are managed by Shipedge, your Suppliers, external or international 3PLs, or outsourced marketplace running fulfillment operations (e.g. FBA, Rakuten).

FBA Integration

Manage FBA inventory.  Fulfill to Amazon warehouses integration Amazon Seller Central, Seller Advantage or Vendor Central in any country.  Process Returns and FBA removal orders.  Automate FBA multi-channel fulfillment, following priority fulfillment rules designed for your organization.  Update all your channels with inventory from FBA plus any Warehouse.  Update Amazon orders and quantities for merchant fulfilled product updating tracking numbers, etc.  Stay up to date on what to send, when and from where to send any orders, including those created outside of Amazon.

Flexible Grid - Node Based Distribution Technology

Adding fulfillment centers and connecting one to the other is done using a hub with branches topology, keeping the OMS at the hub.

Shipedge automates order routing and supply chain decisions as much as possible.  This coupled with automated Omni-channel integrations empowers retailers with very flexible modular logistics solutions.

Being able to make on the fly decisions about where to fill order from based on inventory availability at various fulfillment centers and their nearby suppliers plus the ability to create Purchase Orders and cross-dock the product for just in time fulfillment is crucial to maximizing efficiency.

Shipedge’s centralized Order Management System, Supply Management and Grid Fulfillment Architecture guarantees growth and success by reducing time spent in operations, eliminating errors and reducing inventory costs.

The Shipedge Node

Long gone are the days where a couple of large distribution centers were enough to deliver product across the country.

Today’s market demands are increasing to keep up with ever increasing consumer expectations.  The solution does not only require the infrastructure, but more importantly, it requires the software to keep all the pieces moving together.

Shipedge has the necessary architecture in place to meet such requirements and surpass the demand driven operations of today’s logistics. Our system operates on an grid based architecture which is built from self sufficient nodes which are then interconnected with one another to build a grid.

This grid architecture communicates on the fly to ramp up management and speed while allowing efficient routing of inventory and orders from multiple selling channels, suppliers, customers, fulfillment warehouses and any sort of entity which are then all managed from a centralized node. That is the magic of Shipedge.

The Shipedge Grid

The Shipedge network is comprised of multiple nodes which each manage and control their own separate locations. They are then interconnected and form the larger grid network which increases the range and speed of each individual node of the grid exponentially.

Suppliers from each region can supply their local warehouse plus orders and inventory can be distributed accordingly to satisfy the necessary demand based on sales volume and forecasting which Shipedge calculates using advanced algorithms. This modular approach allows unlimited expansions and scalability across many markets all across the world and allows the growth of any of the nodes to benefit the overall grid.
