Creating Receiving / Staging Areas

In this lesson, you will learn how to create receiving/ staging area in Shipedge. It is important for receiving or staging areas to be identified as such for the set up process. Best practice is to label inventory as soon as it is received. By tagging inventory at the dock, you confirm receipt and automatically is recognized in the warehouse inventory.  

In the courses ahead, you will learn how receiving/staging locations are important in transferring items from the receiving/staging area to put away in locations in the warehouse.  

Creating and Printing Bin Tags

Tagging process will allow the receiver to label items while they are still at the dock to be put away later on. This tags will help tracing items during receiving,  when it's put away and in the process of pick and pack. In this lesson you will learn how to create and print bins with in locations.

Android App – Momentum

In this lesson you will learn how to receive inventory using Shipedge Momentum app. The momentum app allows you to scan the Sku/PO and enter the quantity when it is received in the receiving area. Using the bin tags created in the previous lesson, the items can be tagged and identified as received on the receiving area or dock.

Once the inventory is received and tagged, the next step is to put it in its location. This lesson will provide the steps that will ensure the inventory is located in the correct location.

To start the outbound process, Shipedge web has a "button" to download placed orders. Here you will learn the steps required to receive orders from your TMS in to Shipedge.  

Processing orders and assign to pickers (Processing Web)

Assigning items to be picked

After downloading orders from your TMS , the next step is to assign warehouse staff to pick the items and prepare for shipment. In this lesson, you will learn how to assign picking items from your warehuse through the Shipedge web. 

Picking & Preparing shipments (pick & pack App)

Picking items

After pick is assigned, a notification with appear on the assigned staff app– then select pick & pack from menu. This lesson will illustrate the process of picking and packing inventory for dispatch. For further information on pick & pack process click here

Tracking shipped items (shipped complete history)

Shipedge also tracks all your shipped items and allow you to filter and sort your shipped items. In this lesson you will learn how to view your shipped items history.
